Public Health Beyond Borders works both locally and globally
We partner with communities and provide students with opportunities to design and implement tailored global health interventions.
How We Work
PHBB operates through a network of student-led chapters with three key pillars.
Global Communities
PHBB partners with communities around the world, and our students follow evidence-driven approaches to highlight and address health disparities in these communities. We believe in partnerships centered on cultural competency and cross-cultural learning, and consistently learn from our partners as they do from us.
Local Communities
PHBB understands that many public health challenges we seek to address internationally also occur in our local communities. Our student chapters seek to identify and mitigate public health challenges in their communities in a sustainability-focused mindset.
Strategic Advocacy
PHBB seeks to amplify our voice through direct advocacy on global health focused issues. We provide each of our chapters with toolkits and educational materials on different ways to affect positive change in public health through advocacy.
